Documentary background

The documentary is based on the book : 'Freedom Love Gold' ...ISBN 978-0-9897081-1-1 and additional documents from the archives of the Tarnay Family who were part of the Gold Train Saga. The documentary features their father Frederick Tarnay who put his life and the lives of his family to save the Hungarian Treasury from both Nazi and Communist forces.

The Tarnay Family recently donated all the documents from this historical era to the Hungarian National Archives in Budapest where they can be viewed for further research purposes. The documents present a broader picture of the Gold Train story which in itself does great justice to the history.

As a person present on the Gold Train Saga I can say the characters are very much true to life and the storyline and the acting is very well done.
