Hunt

This movie is good to watch. I recommend all to watch this movie. Even though there are some unnatural content it is enjoyable. I don't know why the ratings are low. All characters performed very well. Main character Bhawana did great acting. It portrays how some treacherous elements in the society for their own political motives killing innocent child and the good people knowing that secret. Finally all the truth coming to light.this movie depicts the nexus between police and political party unethical leaders. The system should change and this should not happen. There some medical officers giving support for this atrocities for money. Good movie.

If you've ever heard the phrase "complete hogwash", Hunt is exactly that - 1 hour and 55 minutes of utter garbage. Malayalam cinema has come a long way in craft and storytelling, but when it comes to horror, the genre still lacks compelling narratives. Hunt is a textbook example of how everything can go wrong. It is confused, pointless, and painfully boring.

Despite a capable cast, the script drags everyone down. I can't not mention Renji Panicker. His performance is unintentionally hilarious, exaggerated to the point of parody. Watching him stutter through his dialogues makes you miss the effortless gravitas that legends like Thilakan and Prathapachandran once brought to similar roles.

The only thing that works is the background score. Everything else is disappointing. It is poorly written, poorly directed, and lacks any sort of purpose.

So if you're bored, stay bored. If you're doing something else, keep doing it. Watching this movie is time you'll never get back.

The horror genre is a very complex genre and there are several ways to deliver the final product and while many rely on jump scares and gore, it takes real talent to bring in the element of thrill and fear through the story, screenplay and a well defined plot.

Hunt is a definite attempt at the latter and it is not a half bad attempt. The plot is interesting and they have actually tried to bring the psychological element of horror. But probably what let's it down is the direction, screenplay and probably some poor acting by not so bad actors.

The director definitely the right vision but falters in execution and the scenes do not feel organic and are rather forced quite often and things are done hastily leaving you suddenly face to face with revelations with little to zero build up.

The cast is solid but fails to live up to its potential. Key culprits are Bhavana and Renji Panicker who are quite talented and powerful actors but the talent does not translate onto the screen quite often and hence it's a hit and a miss. The other cast is comprised of a crew of mediocre stars who have their limitations and the leads had to take up the slack which Bhavana fails to do. We have some over the top bad guys who are tripping over themselves trying to show how coolly bad they are but the lack of acting prowess is apparent.

But let me also acknowledge that it is still not a bad effort and while there are flaws, it is an interesting plot and it does keep you engaged most of the time and thankfully things develop quickly so there isn't much lag in the narration.

Do watch it and you won't be disappointed but neither will you walk away feeling particularly satisfied so a no loss situation.
