Jacquilynn the Ripper

To be fair, I had zero expectations watching this film, so in that respect my expectations were exceeded. It came up on a free recommendation on Youtube - that should tell you what you need to know.

For some reason the story is broken into episodes with title cards appearing to tell you what the next scene is called. For some other reason the numbering on these episode cards is not in order (but the story is linear, so it's not about clever editing.)

What you get - Jacquilynn the Ripper is an evil entity (her ability to appear and disappear in a puff of smoke is established pretty early) who pops around killing people - and starts leaving notes to a pair of detectives assigned to the case - sort of conversational, sort of gloating, sort of to reinforce she knows things that no human should.

This jumps around a bit with various scenes of people beingkilled by JTR - with the police making no ground.

Some of the scenes dragged on, and there was a lot of telling not showing that the film could've done without.

But fun enough to pass some time.
