The characters and emotion build so smoothly over the course of the movie. It harkens to Lost in Translation in that way: little glimpses into the everyday interactions of theses characters created a real rapport over the course of the film. The subtle and understated tone amplified how I felt about what was happening on screen, and I found myself deeply relating to the characters' experiences: love, careers, how our time can be defined by where we spend it and with whom. Lastly, it must be said that everyone will love being immersed in the natural beauty of Jackson Hole, WY. The filmmakers did a remarkable job of incorporating the stunning scenery of the area, making it a focal point, without stealing the show from the human characters.
A clear case of less is more. It was like watching real life taking place, with conversations where silence is equally important to words. This is how real life goes, you have ideas and expectations and sometimes it disappoints, or people disappoint, and then again, nobody's perfect and at the same time they are. The actors are completely natural, so genuinely laid-back with each other. And the dog. Props to Dorothy.
I loved this movie, with it's subtleness, softness, kindness, and beautiful scenery. What a backdrop for this story. Would actually love to see it again. Deserves all the credit it receives!

An absolutely beautiful movie. Bravo to the entire cast, crew, and production team. This movie was so soulful and down to earth without trying. The cinematography was breathtaking and the music and tone throughout the movie was just perfect.
I think this movie tapped into a modern struggle that a lot of older millennials are currently having, which is a life of freedom/meaning/passion and connection to the world/nature vs. Society's expectations of domestication and homogeneity.
I also loved that we got 2 different character perspectives. The one of the lead female character and the one of the lead male character. Two people in very different places in life joined by similar struggles and desires.

"Peak Season" is a tight and delightful romantic comedy, buoyed by endearing and funny performances and stunning landscapes. Its setting in the escape of the mountain west fits the dramatic arc of the story; an alternate life briefly glimpsed by its protagonist. I especially loved the judiciously deployed comedic relief peppered in the already small cast, which gave both flavor and contour to an otherwise classic tale. Enough can't be said about how much Jackson Hole itself is a character in the film, attracting its characters to it and animating their emotional experiences in its grandeur. I highly recommend this movie!
I have watched thousands of romantic movies, but none of them moved me the way Peak Season did. It is so realistic that you feel like you're the one living each moment of the film. Heartbroken and nostalgic are the words that come to mind when the end credits roll, and you feel something has changed inside of you.
The acting by the lead actors is top-notch and tender. They portray the characters' vulnerability with ease. The stunning mountainous and green shooting locations act as characters of their own within the storyline.
Slow-paced at first, the film grows on you, and you end up smiling and crying at the same time as it finishes.

- GaffesWhen Amy and Loren walk back home with tubes around their neck - around 01:02:17 - you can hear Loren say "What's wrong with that? People pay good money for outdoor showers." A weird reverb is present, almost as if this overdubbed line was recorded in a bath room.
