Thoughtless mistakes on weelittle evidence that brought this case to a merely closed end, even though there are strains left out there...
an uncle scrooge's moneybinge in 2006 kent, england got tapped for 59 mill pounds sterling, by seemingly a crashgang of proffesional robbers, some were of course and some were just connected, but the sting of the story goes toward the marshall art fighting environments of southeast london, and mr lee, a strong spangling star on the mma and ufc heaven and well known in that sports world, came to be known as the brawling brain behind the heist.
Its one of the best british made true crime documentaries that iv come over, its constructed on interviews, heist location footage, a very well set and acted dramatization of the prestory, the heist and the aftermath, all very well knit together in a way that doesnt make or break who was the best, the heistcrew or the policing. So 17 years later most of the culprits have been nicked and have done prison time, and now we have the story. Quite an invigorating mini tv serie that you should watch.
Here in norway we had the ''NOKAS'' in the easter week of 2003(or was it 04), where about 8 mill pounds in norwegian currency where stoles from a counting central in stavanger.ive been fascinated by the planning and the order of guts to excecute such crimes even here in innocent norway. Also albanian and balkan connected, with the harshest heist criminals of norway, made this very personal due to how close it happened, and also the tragic outcome it had. Half of the loot is still missing the thugs though were caught and convicted.
The nokas heist has also been documented alot, but best of them all is the ''nokas''-movie, an intense dramatization of the coup, a must see for every truecrime viewer of the world.
So have a nice showtime viewing ''catching lightning'', the biggest papermoneyheists that will ever happen.recommend from the grumpy old man.

Didn't know much about this situation but saw the series and thought I'd give it a watch. So glad I did...
I was hooked from episode 1 and binge watched the whole thing in a day! I was googling while watching the series and the casting of the characters was great! All of the actors played their roles so well.
If you haven't watched it you need to. Lee Murray what a legend!
I want updates on where he is now and what's happened since. He's still in Moroccan jail from what I've read online which is crazy considering no one was harmed or died during the robbery. We need a season 2 haha!
10/10 would recommend!!

Brilliant doc, every episode had me captivated and on the edge of my seat! Highly recommend 4 episodes weren't enough definitely need a follow up. Love how it was shot and really really enjoyed how it was all put together. From the first episode I was gripped but episode 2 was definitely my favourite. Really interesting to see the ins and outs of the story from another perspective other than the media. Absolutely insane story and glad it's been given a spot light in this documentary.
I think it definitely needs to be consider for an award!!!!! From start to finish it was enthralling, nail biting and cinematic genus.

I have no interest in MMA, have never heard of Lee Murray or this robbery but I love true crime docs so I figured I'd give it a shot. And it delivers. I was glued to the screen starting with episode two.
Episode one could've been left out entirely. It felt completely detached from the rest of the series. Just interminable fawning over this thug and his brief fighting career. MMA fans will no doubt be into this, but wasn't my jam.
Episode two onward is gripping stuff. Tons of surveillance footage and accounts from people who worked in the facility so you really get the feeling that you're experiencing the robbery as it happened. The ensuing police investigation is also extremely well done. Again, tons of detail and a fascinating play-by-play style account from police.
All in all, despite the first episode, it's an excellent series. My only only small beef is way they glorify this guy. He's no genius or fighting prodigy. Just a common street thug that loves to fight (in and out of the ring).

This documentary was incredible was glued to my seat once I put it on I couldn't stop watching and binge watched the whole thing in one go.
Loved how it looked unbiased at all the different perspectives and think that for the first time we see for our self's who Lee Murray really is and he seems very likeable which I wasn't expecting at all, my only gripe was that I wish there was more episodes as I didn't want it to end and would of liked to know more about his childhood growing up. Well done to whoever made this it was a brilliant watch and I hope they do another season maybe when he gets out to finish his story.
Brilliant watch.
