Tempest

I'd say this was definitely a amazing series to watch. From character buildup to the storyline along with it. With a thrilling end. Tough it does leave with a ton of questions and would definitely make up with a a season 2 for it. I also don't get the hate as there is a disclaimer every episode it's FICTION..and continue to bomb 1 stars on this.

Yes this show has a bunch of your typical kdrama tropes. However, all of the acting was absolutely amazing. The english speakers actually could act, everything felt more offical and they put a lot of effort into the story and plot. I loved this whole vibe, it made it stand out compared to other shows. I absolutely loved the foriegners acting and the people who played the Americans. Overall everything is super high quality and has an insanely good plot.

Typical K-drama with nonsense romance; no new formula. Therefore, the over the top ratings are ridiculous. The low ratings, allegedly by Iraquís, seem more like a coordinated action from US-paid bots. Iraq is barely mentioned and in the context of the illegal US invasion. The show actually depicts the US as the psycho warmonger terrorist country it is. That's the only novelty about this show; a departure from the usual US-friendly narrative. Looks like the most US vassal country in Asia is waking up to the realities of US empire.

Great script, amazing directing, awesome cast. It has strong female leads, from heroine to villain, and great supporting male characters as well. A series for grownups. Finally a series where adults act as adults and not teenagers. It had me waiting for new episodes each week. Only thing I wish for is more episodes and a slightly different ending.

"Tempest" is intense, intriguing, and will satisfy any spy thriller fan. The characters are faceted, and the series is layered. Blink and you might miss a clue, an inciting incident, or an insight into how and why things began to unravel. Combine that with the friction and realistically orchestrated action.
