Has high hopes but the show moves so slowly. Three mystery singers and a large audience of a very eclectic group of potential players along with a couple of contestants who really have no impact on anything other that chewing up the clock. The rules are explained over and over along with what's next so many times but it's needed because some of it does not make sense and watching it just makes we hope any following episodes get cleaned up. It's sad that the longest lasting game shows are simple but they do not seem to get that. The host does on ok job and I get he likes his mom but I don't tune in for that stuff.
We Are Family offers a unique twist on the celebrity talent show format. In this fun and engaging series, non-famous relatives of celebrities take the stage to sing with their famous family members, while an audience of 100 contestants tries to guess which celebrity they're related to before the big reveal.
The guessing game adds suspense and intrigue, as viewers try to spot clues in the performances, voices, and mannerisms of each non-famous contestant. The family duets are not only entertaining but also heartwarming, giving a glimpse into the dynamics between celebrity relatives. "We Are Family" is perfect for fans of lighthearted reality shows who enjoy a touch of mystery and the joy of musical performance.

I have always enjoyed Anthony Anderson and Mama Doris together but this show is very hard to stay engaged in. It's SO slow and the commercial breaks make it worse when you are already struggling with momentum. The editing is horrible. No one can possibly be that surprised or shocked by anything happening in this show. Why are the contestants the same? I bet Jamie Foxx thought this would be a hit but I'm sorry, for me, it's a major miss. I'm more bored watching it than anything else. I can't even say what could help because we've seen this show in other shows before. We need not re-invent the wheel here.
1- at the end of each segment explain all clues in detail. The six images displayed and the verbal clues by the visible singer and the answer given to momma prior to singing.
2- at the end of each singing segment also show each of the audience members that correctly identified the hidden famous singer. And especially do so at the end of the second singing segment, before the one contestant is to be announced for the opportunity to win the $100,000 grand prize. After each of the 2 singing segments, if there are a lot of people that correctly identified the hidden famous singer group them on screen in multiple screens. But at the end, regardless of how many correctly identified both singers, individually show each on screen.
3- at the end of the show, when you are recapping, show all three pairs of singers onscreen together again. One pair per frame.
All three of the production changes can be done in post, via editing and voice overs. So you can go back now and make the changes even after filming but before airing the show.

If you like celebrity trivia and guessing games, you will like this show. It's nice to see real people being cast to play and win money instead of just "voting" and only seeing celebrities (not that that isn't enjoyable on other shows, don't get me wrong). They've combined it all and it's light and fun! As with all other shows, they usually get better with each season, as they navigate what works and what doesn't. I bet this is going to be just like that! I think it's a great concept, and again, light and fun! Turn off the stress brain for an hour. Anderson and his mama are great! I kinda wanna try out for this one. Lol!
