The Lonely Body

An interesting and very entertaining take on the genre. The visuals and scenery created an intense vibe to the whole thing. It was good to see familiar, British locations in a truly chilling movie. The film starts out simple enough; a guy goes hiking in the hills, meets a kind old man who appears to be grieving the death of his wife and decides to join him for a spot of tea (a decision many of us could imagine making in a similar situation) but things are not as they seem. The characters were relatable and the underlying themes are universal; at some point we've all felt bogged down by the daily grind of work, isolation and hopelessness and wanted to give it all up and move to the countryside. I would definitely recommend this movie 🎬.
