Kikansha no Mahou wa Tokubetsu desu

I gave 8 because of the storyline. I am a manhwa reader so i know how it goes. But I don't like I the animation slacks. And the 1st season seems too slow paced. Voice acting is great and all but the only problem I have witnessed is that of the animation - It sucks. I would like to watch more of it. Just give me better animations on this. The way it started and has continued is definitely how the manhwa is but still at times it lacks and takes too much time on one scene. Then there's continuity error in fight scenes. And it feels choppy and lagging. Too much of 3d stuff was used where 2d animation would look much better like spells and all. Please take a look at that too.

The first episode displays how good this anime can be at times. Amazing sound design and good visuals, interesting power levels... But it falls in quality very quickly.

Not only the technical aspects are lacking most of the time, character development feels rushed and shallow. The harem dynamic of the main trio puts me off the story at times, not allowing me to take in the interesting world the story takes part in. Even the "returned" aspect of the MC is almost gone after a few flashbacks of dead comrades, badly executed for a mechanic that's mentioned in the title.

On the other hand, the setting is interesting and the world is close to credible. The pacing is good (except some episodes) and overall it's still enjoyable. If you allow yourself to overlook the forced and corny harem dynamic (or if you like it) it's not a bad watch at all.

It's not the worst of the year and certainly not a bad way to pass time, but I find it very overrated. It's okay to like mediocre anime, but it's healthy to also know when it is, in fact, mediocre.

An anime based on the famous manwa, the manwa was really good and looking at how the first episode was animated and the voice actors things are looking up for the anime I really hope this anime catches the eye of people and they start watching it. And I guarantee ull be hooked from the 1st episode itself. It's a story of how the MC is a commoner but saves the world in the future and gets regressed to back when he enrolled in the academy and where he strives to correct his mistakes and save the people who cherished the most but couldn't save, it's a story filled with plot twists and epic story line so everyone do give it a watch.

P.s The current arc in the manhua is freaking epic can't wait for it to be animated.

The plot pacing is all over the place too fast and skipping over large parts of the characters interactions, on the other hand the animation is slow, uncoordinated and sloppy.

Simply bad all around, scenes of magic being used look ridiculous with slow paced action in general, spells feel like they have no strength or speed, absolutely no excitement when watching those scenes.

On the other hand melee attacks and fights look more of the same uncoordinated character movement no perception of the speed of their skills, better said the characters look like they barely know how to walk themselves.

Disappointed there is no excuse for this blunder.

If you are not going to do the job properly don't do it. Hate that I was looking forward to it.

At first episode, the anime felt interesting like it's gonna be an Isekai, Fantasy, Adventure like anime. But it's not Isekai. And for some reason I felt boring. Most of the episode felt needless. If you just watch the first and the last episode, it would save you a lot of time and you would not miss anything important. The MC in this anime is not likeable at all, well at least to me. I think the girly boy in the MC's team was the most boring part. The writer made a girly boy who sounds like girl with a weak physical body a swordsman, not sure what's that about. It felt so boring to me. Previously I thought character design and personality does not matter if the story is good enough. But now I know. Silly character design can a make a good story silly and boring. The story did not felt good. It would have been if the MC was really serious. But he acts silly, with his silly team.
