To raise money to produce the film, the filmmakers sold the naming rights to the planets and the space ship that appear in the film. "GB - 165", the number on the side of the ship, is the number plate of Greg Barber (producer Nick Barber's father).

Gaffes
The planet Aislinn is supposed to be devoid of Fauna. However during the shoot, seagulls could not be prevented from walking through the scenes at the beach.
