Before the creation of the documentary film, the project existed as a multimedia installation, shown in Kyiv in June 2023. General film and multimedia installation - soundtrack and only some photographs. The installation had a different name in English - Voices from Bakhmut (without "messages" in the title). The installation had almost no video at all, whereas the film had several times more. The installation itself is more of a sound track, and most of the images are a dark screen and sometimes there were photographs, half of which are not used in the film. The installation format is an auditory experience (interspersed with photographs) for one person in a small dark room. The total number of visitors per hour of operation of the installation is about 13-15 people.
