For us who saw the original version I think we all said, oh no, not another remake. I had very low expectations but is very glad that I did see this version. Great remake with action, fun, glimt to the old version with respect. Gladely surprised! Great to use not the most famous actors, even if we in Sweden knows some of them, made it better I would say. For a Swediah movie, this was made for viewers also outside the Nordic countries, thank you for that. Surprised over the plot, action, comedy (typically swedish). Think the actors and all crew should be proud. We have seen so many bad attempts on remakes, at last, a goid one. Will this movie be nominated for an Oscar, hell no. But a great family movie on a weekend. Enjoy.

The non-English language films that are released on the global streaming service NETFLIX always allow for small discoveries. This is also the case with this crime comedy from Sweden, which is a remake of a story (STRUL / AUSGETRICKST by Jonas FRICK) from 1988.

The divorced television technician Conny (Filip BERG) is suspected of murder due to crazy circumstances and is sentenced to a long prison sentence. But there are inconsistencies that the busy police officer Diana (Amy DEASISMONT) comes across during her research. She does everything she can to convince the responsible inspector Helena Malm (Eva MELANDER) of her findings.

The director Jon HOLMBERG does not tell a world-shattering new story here, but he does so with such a sense of humor and sense of time that it is a lot of fun to watch his film. The cast is also excellent, which is particularly evident in the prison scenes. You can still see the Danish Olsen Gang as an example.

The main actors: Filip BERG is known as the young Ove in the successful Swedish film A MAN CALLED OVE / EN MAN SOM HETER OVE. Amy DEASISMONT was also a singer before her acting career. In 2008, she took eighth place at the Swedish MELODIFESTIVALEN, which is the country's preliminary round for participation in the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST. Eva MELANDER is best known for her role in BORDER.

Fast-paced, exciting and very funny! Recommended!

The whole wrongfully imprisoned thing is what caught my eye for this one, but I didn't exactly watch enough of the preview to realize it was a foreign language film. So once again it's a balancing act of enjoying what's on-screen while trying to understand context by reading the subtitles.

This was an enjoyable film. It's a very standard film that is predictable if you're smart enough, but I didn't catch certain things soon enough. That being said, even though I felt a little foolish, I still enjoyed the film.

I liked the chemistry of the actors, the story had already caught my eye, and despite the 98 minute runtime you still get a complete beginning, middle, and end completion that is satisfying. A few things feel a bit beyond realistic, but it doesn't take away.

I would watch it again because it's entertaining and engaging. It's fun, and has a satisfying end. The chemistry of actors is good, and the cuteness between Filip Berg and Amy Deasismont is what kind of kept me going until the end. Again, it is a generic story about a wrongful conviction and a man just trying prove his innocence, but good chemistry keeps you until the end.

I was pleasantly surprised as I remember the original movie from 1988 to be one of my personal favourites of Swedish comedies.

This was even better in my personal opinion.

Excellent acting over all, especially the two main characters did a great job. Amy Deasismont, who played Diana may look like a teenager as some other reweier mentioned, but she was born in 1992 so she is not to young to be a police officer.

Quite a good mix of action and comedy, even a little bit of romance at the end. Nice to get a glimpse of Björn Skifs, who starred in the original movie from '88. They also added the hit song from his band back in the days, Hooked on a feeling. And yes, it's full of stupid people and weird coincidences, but after all it's a comedy.

Watched this movie yesterday. Checked it out because the premise seem good. 1- Storyline was fun and quirky. 2- acting was good. 3- comedy was funny but quite European which is extra quirky. 4- the flow of the movie is good and they build character quite well. 5- No political nonesense or characters being superheroes because they belong to some special section. Summary - low budget movies are a scarcity in mainstream media over the last decade. Hopefully more movies like this will make a return. The 1990's were the golden age of such movies. I really had a lot of fun watching this and it kept me on edge for the entire movie.
