DNA Lover

If I can sum up this how it would be "one hot mess". I don't know who wrote such an appalling script and cast an over actor as the main FL but they did and they should never do it again.

The series started out with the world"s most annoying woman being utterly ridiculous, with a spray that sent Siwon into "OMG I WILL NEED TO HIDE FROM EVERYONE", to that little weird storyline disappearing without a trace.

The mid section dragged on for a pointless eternity (the only good part was the cameo with Leetuk and Shindong) and I found myself so annoyed by the FL that I realised I had spent a whole episode with my face in my iPad than on the tv.

I suffered until the end because of sheer determination and thank the Good Lord the woman stopped shrieking like a crazy woman finally in the last episode and became somewhat a normal human being.

Points to note: wasp stings do not put you into hospital unless they get you a zillion times. Calling an ambulance was just bizarre. They also don't require a giant plaster and she'd be writhing in agony from just the one, not googly eyeing him.

Also, if he tells you to GET LOST half a zillion times, he does not want you and his feelings will never change. EVER. I've never seen cling wrap that clingy.

Watch it if you like hysterical screeching & stupid women, or for Siwon. He's cute.

I don't know why Choi Si Won plays weaker and weaker dramas as he gets older. I give this series a 6 out of 10.

Unlike many Korean TV series that progress very well until episode 8 or 9, this drama is very boring and empty until episode 12 or 13.

The story is about a geneticist who, instead of working and researching, constantly daydreams or eats lollipops and thinks about her love life at work, and a gynaecologist who comes home after a hard day of work and surgery and watches a video of his girlfriend cooking and eating!!

Except for the lead actors, the rest of the actors have weak performances, like Son Ji's friend Ai ri, whose actings are very unnatural and exaggerated In my opinion, the actors in this drama should have been 16 or 17 year old students rather than a 30-something year old genetic engineer or gynaecologist.

Korean Drama '' DNA Lover '' is a romantic comedy that tries to blend in romance with science.

The drama has an original idea about DNA and love; alas, it fails to execute it. The result is boring, childish, and almost doesn't make sense at times. The main character seems too set on finding someone who checks all her scientific points, and the man simply tricks her into believing that he does. In addition to that, the love triangle lacked any chemistry to be believable and was not aided by the girl clearly seeing the second lead only as a friend.

Finally, the performances, at least, were all great, even though the main character was a bit annoying at times.

So, overall, three out of ten.
