Avis à la une
Foundation has become my favorite Sci-fi program
I have watched every episode at least two times and several three times. I am familiar with Asimov's Foundation books and I accept that this is different, but it is still compelling television.
Season three opens up with quite different versions of Brothers Dawn, Day, and Dusk, which takes awhile to get used to, but it is one of the aspects of this series that I love. Each incarnation of the Cleons is unique. Though they are alike genetically, their personalities are distinctive. I love this hippie, nature loving version of Brother Day, while Dawn is more assertive and confident.
I understand there are people who being loyal to Asimov's books are very critical of the television series, but what I don't understand is why after 20+ episodes they are STILL watching the show and complaining. One viewer gave every episode they reviewed 1 star. I can't imagine watching anything I disliked so much for over two seasons.

Psychohistory didn't predict this timeline.. but yet
I understand why some may reel at the inflection incurred, but, there's no denying this is good Sci-Fi.
From the stunning visuals, solid acting and galaxy spanning opera this is the kinda story I dream about.
This opening episodes purpose was to set the stage, and it achieved that - I'm hopeful this talented team can continue their success and deliver another phenomenal season.

Terrible
Still truly a pointless, nonsensical mess. Just why? I understand one will redo original source material to better fit different times and different medium than originally intended, and original books while entertaining also had a bunch of shortcomings, but this show, while looks good, really does not make any sense, is just dumb, the characters are heavily overdramatizing weak story, the interesting threads from the books have been utterly lost and season three seems to desperately try to jam the poor choices of the earlier seasons into a new cgi fueled mess that will convince no one that those responsible for this show have ever been in the same room as one of the books much less read as much the back cover, just why?
Why call it Foundation
Just why, at this point just name it something else, make up the rest of the story and call it a day. Besides the character names and a few plot points there is nothing left of Asimov's Foundation here. The mule was supposed to be this unknown powerful figure that no one knows how he looks like or how he is able to be such a good conqueror. As the story started I already know that we are gonna stray even further from the story. So much potential lost, the source material is GOATED, and the sad part is, because of this show we might never get another adaptation of the book series, which makes me very sad.
Disappointment
I was disappointed to see that the actor playing The Mule was changed for Season 3 - the character's presence was diminished for me as a result.
I really liked the flawless acting of these four actors - Lee Pace, Terrence Mann, Cassian Bilton, and Laura Birn. They portrayed their characters perfectly and gave incredible depth to the Empire storyline.

Le saviez-vous
- AnecdotesThe Mule character has been recast and is now played by Pilou Asbæk. Mikael Persbrandt played him in season 2.
- GaffesAt 44:12 Day claims that bread cannot be made without yeast. This is incorrect. Bread can be made without yeast using chemical leaveners like baking soda and baking powder, or unleavened options such as flat-breads.
