Other World

This is so bad there aren't words to adequately describe it.

This cheesy low budget Australian film is neatly in the tradition of Robot Monster and Plan 9 From Outer Space: so bad it's fun to watch. It's impossible to follow because the dialog is random and events are jumbled. It's kind of clear that there are these aliens at war with humans but one moment they can stop bullets in mid air and turn them around and later they can be shot. Strange zombie dog creatures appear in some cut away shots for no apparent reason and without explanation. The aliens appear and disappear. People run around. Chaos reigns as people pull guns on each other. But the whole exercise is fun, watching amateur actors deliver the lines of a discombobulated script.

Have you ever had a 6 year old write you a story? "A boy was walking along, he saw an elephant. Then he married a giraffe. Then they lived in Disneyland." That story makes WAY more sense than this than this movie. Plot elements go nowhere. Character lines are impossible to follow. Countless WTF moments and continuity gaffes. None of the elements in the plot summary were shown in the movie. The last few minutes are a compilation of earlier scenes apparently placed in at the last minute to clarify things, but they make no more sense than the rest of the movie. If you can watch it for free, give it a go to see how stupid a movie can be. Then read Finnegan's Wake for a dose of sanity and clarity
