With So Little to Be Sure of

The main point of this episode is helping a Viet Nam Vet yet he gets no credit. Great episode but the main focus is anonymous. I'm very disappointed.

This episode teaches us a great lesson that we don't just throw our soldiers away when they return from a theater. We have a big problem of dismissing our soldiers when they return because we didn't go through the things they did. All of the modern wars are watched through the lens of media companies. They sterilize the story to fit into a time slot and never show the real parts of war. They think we can't handle the truth. This is how media conditions us.

The episode was crafted in a very clever way, with great use of flashbacks to cover an important topic, draw certain connections with several characters and to finally address something that needed to be addressed with Vic's character. Barrett's performance was absolutely incredible.

Seeing a common theme come together by establishing a character they all cared deeply about, despite not knowing them prior to this episode was very clever. They didn't rush over it and it allowed you to feel the kind of emotion as if it were someone you knew for a long time. Seeing each of the teams emotions at that height, as well as highlighting their neglect for Hughes over a long period was done so well. We know her to be the one who is high-energy and looks out for everybody but through this season especially we see her nearing her breaking point. She has lost so much.

This episode showed through the friendship of a homeless vet the fruition of Vic Hughes breakdown. We had to go backwards to see the journey of a vet and how our beloved NINETEEN family came together to be his friend. The connection Vic built with him through their conversations shows how vets are suffering from mental health issues. How all it takes is a little kindness to be shared.

Enjoyed watching the timeline which took us back to the in between moments. Loved seeing the secret relationship between Ross and Sully again. Absolutely 100% LOVED seeing Maya and Carina's baby no baby unfold in such a graceful way. The look those two give each other is priceless. My heart.

Now moving forward to Vic having her breakdown. How epic was that to see her progression to better understand why she has been feeling so broken. Then to have the support of her friend. Wow!

Boris Kodjoe did a good job despite the difficulty of the episode. Bravo to him.

Barrett Doss showed us once again what she was capable of. Her character Vic is one of the best in the series and it's not for nothing. She's funny, sensitive, always there for everyone and that's why sometimes we have to break down.

I can't believe there are only 4 episodes left of this wonderful show. Someone save her. #savestation19.

And I really like flashbacks! And the Maya and Carina scenes where we realize that the difficulties of having a baby also contributed to Maya's burnout.

The scene of the funeral was very beautiful but a real heartbreaker.
