Although the film moved slowly, I enjoyed the plot. While the first half had trouble establishing the relationships between the characters, the second half was captivating. Perhaps that was deliberate, but it took longer than usual for the audience to relate to them. I felt it as a drawback. Although Raghunath Paleri's screenplay explores the themes of forgiveness and second chances, it occasionally feels disconnected due to its disorganized structure and pointless subplots. Hakeem Shah and Priyamvada gave powerful performances, and the songs were good. Although she possessed a graceful demeanor, Poornima Indrajith's portrayal of Akamma could have used more nuance. However, the delivery of the conversation felt rather artificial, perhaps because the writing was so intellectualized and flowery.

Oru Kattil Oru Muri has a novel plot that, with a more polished execution, may have struck a deeper chord despite its slow pacing and structural issues.

Many reviews and ratings were off for this movie and I really wonder why. Let me say that am not an irrational guy with unusual taste😅

This is a very well crafted and scripted movie. The story moves along very fast and you feel the need to know what next.

Hakkim Shah is brilliant and he leads the cast. This is one other thing I just love about Malayalam cinema. Every other movie is led by an unknown actor and yet the plot carries it through. This movie is the best example of that. Priyanvada is great and I guess this is the first time I saw her.

And Poornima is beyond wow. She just gets into her role so so beautifully and delivers one of her best yet.

Her scenes with Priyamvada are magical and you get a lot of it. Shammi is wonderful in his role and very measured. I loved the unique depiction of the father and that family on the whole.

I urge you to watch this one. You won't regret it.

Oru kattil oru muri is a Cinematic Disaster in Slow Motion May cause drowsiness. This movie moves at a snail's pace, and the storyline seems to be crafted for those who have an endless amount of patience. The plot, if you can even call it that, is a scattered collection of random scenes strung together without any purpose or logic. The characters are as lifeless as the movie itself, with wooden performances that make even the most basic emotions feel forced and awkward.

I don't know what the purpose of chasing the gunda is to lead an actor hakkim shah. The director tried it would be a comedy, but in a single shot i don't get comedy from this movie.

Poornima roll akkamma only positive matter in this movie.

Overalls its An Outdated Relationship Drama With a Deliberately Scattered Script The director clearly has no sense of pacing, as every single scene overstays its welcome by at least five minutes. The dialogue is so cringeworthy that even the actors seem embarrassed to deliver their lines.

This is the ultimate fall from grace for a legendary writer such as Reghunath Paleri who has gifted us with many goated screenplays. It is absolutely aimless and incoherent in its plot, its narrative, its acting, and its characters.

I struggle to find a single positive things to say about this film and that is such a shame. They have tried to do a poetic approach, wholesome approach, thriller approach, action approach, hell even a slapstick approach at various junctures and all of it failed spectacularly.

I have seen over a thousand flicks and this has to be without an iota of doubt, the most unbearably bad (unironically made) Malayalam film I have seen.

A light drama portraying deep underlying human emotions on the backdrop of soothing BGM's.

The plot of the story is about a cot and how the lives of 3 individuals are connected through the cot forms the storyline.

Reghunath Paleri through his subtle writing puts light on to the strange disguised human nature through the movie and Shanavas K Bavakutty has executed the story in true spirit and essence. Paleri has precisely etched queries in the viewers minds on the unrevealed mystery and anxiety on the life of the central characters which shows light towards the conclusion.

Subtle delivery by Poornima & Hakim Shajahan in the movie. 👏👏 Good show by Vijayaraghavan,Shammi Thilakan, Reghunath Paleri,Thushara Pillai & Harishankar.

Standalone appreciation to Varkey & Ankit Menon for the melodious,healing and soulful tracks in the movie. 👌

A good one time watch for the light humane nuances Shanavas conveys through his stories.
