Leva lite

Leva Lite (Live a Little) tells the tale of two women who travel to Warsaw, Prague, Berlin and Paris by train, intending to have a good time. One woman is outgoing, warm and charismatic, and is immediately friends with everyone, the other is a little more introverted. Laden with heavy back packs the two stay at AirB&Bs. One of the joys of the film is the unfolding of the intimacy between the women. But things things happen to upset their relationship and there is palpable tension throughout the film. In the credits the director acknowledges stories told to them about what can happen on these European holidays. Great performances from the women, excellent script and cinematography.

A very surprisingly good movie. A brilliant directorial debut by Fanny Ovesen. A director to keep an eye on. The plot is intimate and very well told and the actresses Aviva Wrede and Embla Ingelman-Sundberg are fantastic in their roles. Doesn't feel like they are being filmed at all. Very good script and sometimes recognizable situations. Good pace in the film which moves the plot forward in a wonderful and good way. Makes you want to know what is happening next.

One of the best Swedish films in my opinion. Hope it gets attention around the world. Very interesting film, so go see it if you have the opportunity. Maybe some Film festivals showing the movie in the near future.
