As a huge fan of zombie movies, I was really looking forward to this one after seeing the trailer. It promised intense action, suspense, and a fresh take on the undead. But when I actually sat down to watch it, I realized the trailer was the best part. Instead of the thrilling, zombie-filled horror I was expecting, the movie was bogged down with way too much drama. It spent more time focusing on the characters' emotional struggles than on the actual zombie apocalypse. The few action scenes that were there felt forced, and I was left waiting for more of the tension and excitement the trailer teased.

The movie's pacing was slow, with long, drawn-out scenes that made it feel like a soap opera rather than a survival horror. The zombies almost felt like background noise, which is a huge disappointment when you're watching something that's supposed to be about the undead taking over. If you've seen the trailer, you've already witnessed the best moments. It's frustrating because the film had so much potential, but instead of delivering on the high-octane zombie action it promised, it focused too much on unnecessary drama. The trailer raised my hopes, but the actual movie left me feeling disappointed and let down.

Sometimes the best way to watch a movie or series is to leave all your expectations before watching it or else many times you get disappointed.

That's what this movie will do if you if you expect it to be a zombie Survival movie.

It deviates from the infamous apocalyptic world survival horror genre to a more of Psychological Horror or Domestic horror genre. If you are watching the movie for a thrill ride like watching a endless Zombie killing spree movie then you shouldn't watch this one.

There are very less Scenes involving zombies but more with violence between different Characters and between Characters and their inner demon.

At the end of the day I enjoyed the movie and it's something different this time.

The acting is top notch, Story felt a little bit dragged but still it was good. Definitely You can give it a try.

Severe gore and violence present so stay away if you can't watch it.

Francis, his wife iris and sons lucas and josh are traveling across the country. This movie is set in the post apocolypse so we join the family as they look through houses to try and find some supplies. Its clear they already have one and are trying to find gas for a generator, but we dont see it to later. Though something is wrong with francise and after an encounter with the undead on a bridge he lies and says the car is broken and tries to keep his family in the big mansion they have occupied. It has a limited cast which is good and the wasteland setting has been made well. I like the take on zombies here too. As this time they can talk and look more like the people have been pocessed by something. A little gory but shows the real struggles with trying to keep loved ones alive during the worst possible times. Overall a intersting zombie flick.

The only way I could comare this movies is: "If zombie apocolypse meets johnny from the shining."

It was actually an ok film...just a bit dragged a bit, in some places(its over 2 hours long).

The zombies in this are more creepy(to me) than in most other films where they just growl or screech.

It more a story about the main guy slowly decending into madness, with some zombies in between.

The actors did a good job though. The parents played the stress moments really well.

Just wished there was more zombie action in it(hence the 3 star deduction)...it was still worth the watch...it was a good psychological thriller, if anything. You could totally see what happens, happen, with people like that, in their situation.

Heartfelt zombie movie, about family love. I really enjoyed this movie, the acting was excellent from all involved. The special effects was good as well. Man escapes with his wife and two sons from a zombie apocalypse to an isolated farm. This drama zombie horror is a must watch as it takes on a different course. You feel for the whole families pain as you're watching, from the father, wife & two sons. Emotional, and psychological honor ensues. It seems foreign zombie movies are always the ones that are the best for me. I'm a zombie horror fan, and I will definitely be recommending this one on Netflix to my friends.
