I was so excited when I read the summary for this show. It has not been done before and it is a great concept - drinking around the world and learning about the history of drinks. I even like the filming. BUTTTTTTTT the host. Oh my god, she is so cringe. She is outright rude to the indigenous people she is meeting. They are showing their culture and life and she gives them dirty looks, mocking and making rude comments. She needs to learn to suck it up and deal with it and get grossed out later. I never care about hosts. Replace the host and I'll keep watching. Or someone else will redo it way better.

I really love to get lost into wold of travel like down to earth with zac efron the people that did bts did great camra work and shay is so fun makes you wanna try out the different drinks and get out more live your best life life's a oyster I really enjoy the show thirst with shay Mitchell on hbo max everyone can enjoy with the families need more seasons.

Host and show are both super engaging. They not only showcase some beautiful storytelling around local cultures and beverages but it also takes us a long for the ride - given you a little taste of the behind the scenes and the realness that goes into creating a show like this, the ups and downs of travel and tackling some fears 😂 Some people here don't realize what the show is trying to do and it shows... Shay takes us on a journey through South America introduces us to some locals and celebrates the rich cultures through the beverages - made me want to visit these places myself - exactly what a travel show should do!

Good concept, writing and camera work. The host is perpetually unprepared, self-interested and culturally phobic, though. That was probably a choice of the producer/director, but was not my cup of tea for a show called Thirst. For example, she wasn't aware of the importance of guinea pigs or Lake Titikaka in Peru. Both of those would be on Page One of a briefing about Peru. Maybe the idea was to keep her in the dark about where she was going to visit, but that sounds like a questionable decision. A host with a touch of knowledge or empathy for the place they're visiting would be an improvement.

This travel and food show is incredibly enjoyable - it's a rare gem! I find myself wanting to rewatch every single episode. It's a whole new level of entertainment that bridges the gap between mindlessly scrolling through social media and watching traditional TV. It's like you're right there with the hosts, experiencing every adventure alongside them. I highly recommend watching this incredible show and joining Shay and her crew and guests on each thrilling journey! I can not wait for season 2 and hope there is one - feel good, aspirational, entertaining, educational, fun and beautiful. Must watch!
