Avis à la une
I was worried that it wouldn't be as good as it was back in the day (because most revivals are kind of toilet water nowadays), but I'm really glad to see that my fears were unfounded! Not only does SSS Regen maintain the spirit of the original films whether you watched them as films or the tv series version, but the production quality has gone through the roof. It's hard to believe they made something this quality this with no budget. Their experience is showing for sure. They gave us a pretty good balance of returning OGs and new characters. The only thing I was disappointed about was that it was over before I even knew it. It's not even a short movie, it's like 2 hours. It was just really good and everything kept me invested the whole time so 2 hours flew by. Can't wait for the next one!
Seen it.
Love it.
More please.
The only thing that really stinks about this passion project sequel is that it took so long to happen. But, you can't rush art, and make no mistake this is art.
I admit, there are a few things that I don't like. Some characters return, some don't, some messy details here and there, but I still like what we got.
Obviously, this isn't the end of SSS not by a long shot, and I look forward to seeing where things go.
I really hope the next chapter/s come out sooner rather than later.
Is this passion project sequel worth seeing? Hell yeah it is!!!👍👍👍
But don't take my word for it. Watch it for yourself.

This is the sequel I was hoping for.
The original movie was absolutely epic, with its 80/90s fighting games vibe mixed with those years martial arts movies too. A jewel of a product, quite hard to beat in my opinion.
Regen takes the first one from where it was and bring everything to the next level. The actors are fantastic, the fighting is top notch and the storyline is very good and entertaining.
Also, last but not least, the humour is always on point, clever, well timed and never disappointing.
A must watch for every martial arts movies fan and also for every old school video gamer out there. I hope there will be more!

Just as the Continue Screen countdown seemed to be about to reach zero, Micah Brock and Shaun Charney have added some quarters to the arcade machine and brought back the beat-em-up inspired series: Slug Street Scrappers.
The fight scenes are realistic where it matters, over the top when appropriate, and always exciting to watch.
If you enjoyed the previous titles in the SSS series, you will find yourself right at home with this latest entry.
Newcomers to the franchise might be a little winded at first but should catch up pretty quickly, thanks to the lore being explained through character's dialogue and brief flashbacks.
Looking forward to seeing more from Whirlwind Action and all of the martial artists they feature!

Slug Street Scrappers Regen is a beautiful continuation of the original series-one that honors its roots while kicking things up a notch. The retro vibe is off the charts, nailing that 80s and 90s video game energy from the moment the competition starts. Every fight had me right on the edge of my seat, and the high-frequency action sequences seriously inspired me to dust off my old training routine!
The comedy is a knockout too, perfectly timed, with more than a few genuine knee-slappers (seriously, how did they make frozen pizza funny?!). The world building is slick and refreshing, drawing you into a tournament that's both nostalgic and brand new. Not once did I feel bored-every minute is packed with fresh faces, fan favorites, and surprises that kept me hooked. I'm genuinely excited to see where the future of Slug Street Scrappers goes next!
