A short video project with plenty of humor, "O Cabra que Virou Bode" presents a man who discover his wife's infidelity with
another man and goes out to kill him. What he doesn't know is that his best friend is the culprit and during the town's search for the
unknown man, the cheating type says the man was turned into a goat. The question that dominates everyone's minds is: can the cheated man
kill the animal (allegedly a man, previously) or to let it go?
This is a quite amusing tale of sorts, located in Northeast of Brazil and there are countless references, wording and phrases common
from the area and its culture - which can be lost at times for those unfamiliar with slangs and regional terms (the title itself is a
twist of words of such kind). It's all done in a very independent manner, but it's well-acted by the cast. They all have the right timing
for lines and expressions, which keep turning the amusing yet dangerous story into a hilarious act - the chief of police is the best.
If you manage to overlook the video
settings and some of its cheap production values, you can have a great time with it and even reflect the whole controversy surrounding the
townspeople and the whole idea of believing that a man could turn into a goat and/or why the goat should be tried for his "crime". Accept
the absurdity of it all and you'll love it. 6/10.
