Paris & Nicole: The Encore

The chemistry between the girls is still very intact and just seeing them together again creates massive nostalgia for probably anyone still holding the early to mid 2000s MTV days dear to their hearts.

Paris and Nicole have grown into beautiful and smart women, but they haven't lost the playfulness which made them so adorable and interesting to watch on a lazy day when you just want to drift off from your "simple" life.

While it's certainly not a "Simple Life" reboot, for an episode the two go back to visit the people in Arkansas reflecting on their days there and it's very heartfelt. I kind of teared up when a man genuinely congratulates them on becoming mothers and Nicole meets an old flame who got older & married.

The idea and execution of the "opera" sadly falls short and turns just into what Paris assumed at one point to happen, a school play. Certainly no one expected it to be something extraordinary or of high standard, but nonetheless this TikTok'd level of effort still ruins the whole experience of this special. The producers of the "Encore" could've come up with something else or could've circled back to doing something back in Arkansas, perhaps.

There's just nothing better than two friends being silly and goofy and having a great time!! I actually fell in love with their song before I knew it was theirs because of watching Bailey Sarian's Murder, Mystery, & Makeup (amazing). Then one random day (few months ago) I remembered The Simple Life being a thing that I had never seen, and I binged the heck out of it, laughing my a$$ off! Then I read Paris's book, which I highly recommend! She's a resilient, creative bad-ass! I wish we could have seen the entire opera straight through and not just snippets (just in case we were missing anything)! Nicole is so funny!!! I am grateful they did this encore, but I am sad that that might be it! If I ever need something to just cheer me up and make me smile, I know where to go!
