Avis à la une
This was one of the most atrocious movies I have ever watched. From the terrible acting to the sub par story telling... all I can say is YIKES.
Please do yourself a favour and don't even attempt to watch this horrible attempt at a movie. I feel incredibly annoyed that I spent so much time watching this atrocity.
This is an hour and a half of garbage you will NEVER get back.
There are tons of movies that are so bad that they're actually good- this isn't one of them. Quite literally one of the worst movies I've ever forced myself to sit through.
The actors in this movie need to find new careers. I just have no words to describe how terrible they are.

Besides the major jumps in timeline, the acting was atrocious! The young man who plays the kid is so unbelievable. I don't usually slam the acting ability of kids, but he was horrible. Not unlike the adults. The plot was so lackluster, no skin in the game for character development or any believability.
Of course, watched the whole thing because it was literally just on for background noise, so you know if I noticed how bad it was with it just being background, it was horrible.
Most unbelievable story line. I mean, if you're going to write a movie about something that COULD be real, at least make it believable how it could happen. Pathetic excuse for a movie.

OK, from the outset, it was clear that this was a low-budget, indie pic, so I watched with grace to see what the end product would be. The plot is clearly not original--which is OK. The premise and backstory were clear from the outset, although I'm not sure making the adopted child's backstory so blatant in the very beginning hurt or helped. The script was OK, better than the acting. The acting...? Well, this is, as mentioned, an obviously low-budget project, so I won't comment beyond that. The pacing was fine. The direction was...well, everything about a film is ultimately the responsibility of the director. I appreciate the director's commitment to this film. The film's score wasn't bad. Everything mentioned thus far can be forgiven and even appreciated in a way. But the ENDING...many-a-film has been totally destroyed by its ending. And the last two or three minutes of ADOPTED falls into this category. The decision made by a key character at that point was entire moronic and served only to setup the entirely unsatisfactory finish, that's it. It otherwise made no sense whatsoever and insulted the intelligence of the viewer.
Kudos to Jayden Aguirre, who played Dylan. He managed a performance that was truly chilling at some points. Better direction would have helped at point where he didn't deliver.
I have a fondness for low-budget indie films. I watch a lot of them, in fact. ADOPTED, I can gladly say, is not on my list of worst films. And I can truly appreciate the effort behind it.

This movie is a joke.. but the only problem is it's not supposed to be!
The Good Son meets Chucky, meets Orphan... lol...
The ENTIRE plot is pretty much given away in the trailer.. though it is so formulaic and predictable you would've guessed it anyways!
Its only redeeming quality is that the production value is actually not bad for a movie likely filmed on an iPhone. The acting, is INCREDIBLY bad, especially that little kid, who is easily the worst child actor I've ever seen in a movie! I have seen scraped together YouTube movies that have more of an interesting plot and better acting than this movie. I even noticed they use YouTube devices like the BOOM sound effect when someone says something "dramatic".
It is actually entertaining in a way... In that you're laughing continually at just how bad this movie is!

This movie was'nt all that bad .But the acting was terrible and the dialogue was cheesy. For starters the parents that adopted the young boy in this film were so corny i could'nt wait for the little boy to off them myself . Plus it seemed a bit unrealistic the main character whose supposed to be 10 years old is a calculating psycopathic killer and a crack shot with a hand gun. Especially the part where he shoots his original parents both between the eyes and then burns down the house in broad daylight ? What nobody in the area saw that ? A bit hard to believe. My hats of to the main character playing the child psycopath character Jayden Aguirre . I actually gave it 3 stars because i liked the scenery the California sunshine and all that.
