City the Animation

City: The Animation is just pure fun. It's chaotic, fast-paced, and full of random humor that somehow works perfectly. The cast of weird, lovable characters makes every episode unpredictable, and the comedy timing is spot-on. I like how it doesn't take itself seriously at all-it's just goofy, creative, and full of energy from start to finish. The animation style fits the tone really well, and even though there's not much of a story, the humor and charm easily make up for it. It's the kind of show you can throw on anytime and just have a good laugh.

This is my first time writing a review for a show on IMDb, but since I'm used to seeing good shows get cancelled, I wanted to leave my little grain of sand to recommend this one - and to dream of a second season.

City: The Animation tells the story of a city and the people who live in it through a heartfelt mix of comedy and animation made with real care and love. You can feel the creativity and intention behind it - it stands apart from other shows, offering viewers a place to disconnect and simply enjoy a good time.

The author previously created another anime with a similar sense of humor and emotional warmth, Nichijou (which I also totally recommend). City: The Animation feels like a spiritual continuation of that work - but this time, you can really see how experience, modern animation tools, and perhaps a larger budget elevate the result. It's an enjoyable show even for people who don't usually watch much anime.

If you haven't seen it yet, give it a chance! You might feel a little overwhelmed at first by the number of stories and characters, but I promise that by the end, you'll miss this beautiful city.

A very entertaining anime, from episode 1 to episode 13 it is very funny even though there are some jokes that are a bit cringe, but overall it is very good including the depiction of the characters and their behavior which is full of silliness, I always laugh when watching episode 1 to the final episode.

Improves on everything great about Nichijou and then some. The sketch comedy angle is so bizarre and hilarious its consistantly entertaining. Yet the interconnected motiff of returning characters and loose plotlines between episodes provides a bit of structure to the formula that is perfect. Its Funny, its cute, its relatable, and at time insanely visually stimulating with the crazy production quality. Easy reccomendation.
