Avis à la une
A Sequel Without a Spark
"The Family Plan 2" tries to expand on the success of its predecessor, but in doing so, it abandons most of what made the first film so charming. What was once a playful mix of comedy and light action becomes a more serious, straightforward action movie - and unfortunately, that shift strips away the heart and fun that defined the original.
The biggest issue is how redundant the film feels. Instead of offering new ideas, fresh character moments, or a clever twist on the formula, it reuses familiar beats without adding anything of value. The humor - the core ingredient that made the first movie stand out - is almost absent. In its place is a tone that's noticeably heavier, but not in a compelling way.
As a more serious action film, it struggles. The action sequences are competent but uninspired, and the story never rises beyond mediocrity. Without the comedic personality of the first movie, the characters feel flatter, their interactions less lively, and the overall experience far more forgettable.
It's a shame, because the potential was there. The first film showed how lighthearted fun and simple storytelling could blend into something genuinely enjoyable. But "The Family Plan 2" trades that identity for something blander, and the result is a sequel that feels unnecessary and strangely hollow.
Not terrible - just painfully average, and a letdown compared to the movie that came before it.

Just Say No!
Sigh...I tried to be positive the entire time I was watching the movie, honest, but its just so bad! Why Mark? Why make a movie like this when you could've left the original to be alone in mediocrity? This movie is beyond turn your brain off - it lacks any sense of reality at all. I know, I know movies like this aren't supposed to have reality but come on! A highly trained assassin making so many dumb errors just hurts the premise of the movie. And the young kid actor - arghhh, nothing but annoying the entire movie. Find the kid a babysitter forwarding out loud! Ibfeel bad for the people in this movie and hope they save whatever they were paid because their resumes aren't going to be filled with much if relying on this.
Horr-aweful movie. Bad premise. Bad writing. Bad acting outside of experienced adults. Bad effects and I'm bad for not making better use of my time while it was on. I should've folded laundry or meal prepped...lost time now.

ChatGPT could write better story
Absolute cliché in every moment, boring even skipping fully predictable scenes, conversations. 3 star only goes to the professional craftsmen who worked well for their salary. I could feel even on the actors asking the Director: "usual character, nothing special, or twist? OK, too easy... here you are."
Just sit back and enjoy the ride
This sequel has all the charm of the original, in that it's not meant to be over complicated. It's got cool action sequences and the chemistry between the cast makes them a truly believable imperfect family.
It can get a bit slow at times but this movie wasn't made to win an Oscar, it was made so families could sit back and watch a funny action comedy together close to the holidays.
It's not the best or even original, I would just call it a fun watch.

Tired
I'll admit Michelle is always gorgeous to watch but even that didn't rescue the film for me. I felt almost no real effort by anybody went into this film. It simply felt like chatGPT had come up with the story line.
The locations also seemed entirely arbitrary. As if the cast wanted to just get air miles. I fell asleep about 3/4 of the way through so it may of got better but everything up to that point seemed a bit pointless.

Mainframe computers are not servers or personal computers and require highly specialized skills, software and hardware, as they are intended for massive volumes of transactional computations, not in serving content in the way most people understand computers as operating.
An 18 year old would not have been exposed to, or had opportunity to develop the skills and built the proprietary hardware to directly interface with a mainframe computer in the way described.
