Lily Baker is a thirteen year old girl from the UK who has recently moved to Japan. She likes to spend her time at a local game arcade even though she isn't great at it. Renji Kusakabe, an eighteen year old university student works at the centre helps her improve. The soon form an entirely innocent friendship... even if Lily's somewhat frightening father doesn't approve.
I thought this series was enjoyable if a little inconsequential. The characters are likeable and, like many slice of life series, not all that much that is particularly memorable happens. Nothing wrong with that though as it is entertaining while watching. I was pleased that it avoided any sleaziness given Lily's age. Any British viewers are likely to be somewhat amused by Lily and her family's lack of English accents when speaking in English... of course it wasn't made for us so one can't really complain. Overall a fun little series; not a must watch but still it passed the time well.
