Beyond the Deep

This film truly touched me. It tells the story of a young Latvian man who decides to cross the ocean in a rowing boat, all by himself, from South America to Asia. It's not just about the physical journey, but also about his emotional and mental experience.

I found it fascinating to watch how he deals with so many challenges- storms, loneliness, heat, bird. Sometimes it seems like he's starting to lose his mind, but those moments also reveal how deeply free he becomes. Even though he is completely alone in the middle of the ocean, he finds peace and a strange kind of happiness.

The story is told in a simple and honest way, which makes it easy to connect with him and feel what he's going through. It's both inspiring and thought provoking, and it made me reflect on freedom, limits, and what really matters in modern day life.

The film is in Latvian, which adds even more authenticity and emotion to the story. I definitely recommend watching it.
