Lazy

This movie has some good funny and moving moments but it is quite apparent that this is a first thing they've ever done. It feels a bit like a student film. I think couple things that make it worthwhile was the chemistry between the actors which led to decent performances. The writing also feels nuanced. But the movie ultimately falls short of what it sets out to do and can't avoid genre cliches and at times it is overly sentimental.

Overall, It's an okay watching experience but I'm not sure if I'll return to it again. I think they should've taken more time with the characters and spend more time in the environment which is the south because I didn't feel like I got a good sense of what it is like to live there. Or perhaps this would've worked better as a short film. So watch it if it's free.
