Vloga za Emo

This movie got a lot of hype in my country, mostly because it was shot at my school and town. I had no desire to watch it then, but because of the previously stated reason the school made us go watch it. I wanted to give it a chance at first but then just got stuck on the many shortcomings in the film itself. Firstly its riddled with blunt advertising for local and European companies like Hofer. It also portrayed our school in a very americanized and unrealistic fashion. Story wise this movie is just a teen story cliché. The only reason the high intellectuals here liked it, is because the main actress died some time after filming. The single redeeming part of the movie is the quality, which surpasses most of the other slovenian movies. I give the movie a 1/10 and hope the people who wrote the script and directed stay far away from making movies.

A wonderful film with a lot of positive messages for young people. Both for young people, that they should not give up, no matter what problems or challenges they find themselves in front of... and that they should follow their dreams and ambitions... as well as for parents, to whom the film in many ways holds up a "mirror"... At least one situation (or even more) that the film shows, each of us must have found ourselves at least once in our lives. Before and after parenthood :)

A truly unique film with an excellent cast. I highly recommend watching it to all young people, preferably together with their parents.

I have seen a movie a while ago but still. Here is my review: Summary - A shy girl with only few friends in High School meets a cool girl who wants to help her become more popular. Sounds familiar? Well it should because this is a formula on which Teen movies have been based on ever since the 90'.

Story focuses on shy a shy girl who attends the audition for the school news reporter. After getting accepted her life changes forever. She also meets a cool girl who helps her by it. She faces challenges in school, family, love, career in news, friendship. Already plot sounds cliché and after the first 5 minutes, I realized that the whole movie will be like this.

There is no character development. Bad acting. Story is flat and almost nothing exciting happens. Some things just happen with no foreshadowing because the plot wants it to.

The movie "Vloga za Emo" is a wish fulfillment for almost every shy girl who wants to become popular and fall in love with a dream boyfriend. Yet this will not happen in real life as the movie portrays it.

I will give the movie 1.5 out of 10. If you like watching teen movies that have the same plot repeatedly, then this movie is for you. However, you have been warned. Do not expect a good movie. Expect a movie who you will forget after a month and will have no wish to see it again.

BRAVO to the filmmakers! This film is excellent and above all very instructive. You can see that it was filmed with heart. All credit to Lara the main actor, as well as to the other participants, they performed more than perfectly. This is a generational film. A film that today's youth can take as their own even at three in the morning. Finely filmed, very well directed, convincingly acted and a good mix of genres. A must see. Even several times, if necessary. A truly unique film with an excellent cast. I highly recommend watching it to all young people, preferably together with their parents.

A must-watch for everyone, as it is definitely the best Slovenian film and great to get rid of the prejudice that all Slovenian films are bad. I hope that the path of the creators has not ended here and that they will make at least one more film, which will undoubtedly be no worse than this one.
