I am surprised at all the negative reviews. It feels like people review movies against the best movie they've ever seen. Mortal Engines was fun, visually stunning, a just really intriguing. The characters were simple and clear. Some said they lacked personality; I didn't think so, but some were a bit stylized type. The main characters were developed enough. Some also complained it has plot holes. Yeah it did. Didn't bother me.
From the beginning it was clear Mortal Movie was tongue in cheek enough that I knew I didn't need to take it very serious. Is a cinematic masterpiece? No, Is it a low commitment way to spend a fun evening? Totally. It was a great watch!. I'd recommend highly on those terms.

I read the original Ms. Marvel comic this was inspired by, and I am not a teenager or Muslim or Pakistani. But I do think this show is great! I wouldn't normally write all this upfront, but it seems most reviews for Ms. Marvel are credentialed in advance.
This is a Disney show about a Muslim teenage girl who gains superpowers. It is enjoyable to watch, the acting is very strong, as are the production values. Almost every character is very likable. The main character is delightful. It took two episodes for the show to get on its two feet, but this is an origin story show: that's the way they work.
I cannot personally speak to accuracy of representation but to not see how a Disney show about Muslim teens and their families that is positive isn't good representation is churlish...or, as some of the other reviews show, racist.
Too many reviews seem to think this show is about MCU forcing woke culture, ignorant of the fact this based on a comic from nearly A DECADE AGO. If you don't like something because it has brown people in it, that's you not the show.
Yeah, Ms. Marvel is sometimes too teenagery for me, but I am old dude watching a Disney show! I did not expect grit. It's a nice family show that I can watch with my family; My six-year-old looks forward to it.
My only issue is the superpowers look a bit silly. I am hoping as Khan gets control of her powers, they look cooler. This is my one worry going forward. It's just ugly how many people gave bad reviews because they don't like other cultures. Grow up.

This is a short episode series full of silliness and innuendo satirizing the class comfy murder mystery motif. They are well produced and silly, easy fun. I like the high investment in silliness, and while some of the jokes are "lame," as the "top review" says, that is precisely the point. Silliness is so undervalued and so sorely needed in our world! I love that each episode is about 8 minutes and somehow packed with fun. There are tons of jokes here and tons of cameos worth the watch.
