Really took the 2000s for granted with how many quality comedies that got released. Hot Fuzz is probably one of my favorite comedies of all time. Admittedly, I had only ever seen Simon Pegg in the Mission Impossible series and Star Trek, I had no idea how good he was as a lead actor.

Really enjoyable and easy watch.

Overall good but not a movie you can just "watch", you have to be engaged. Not necessarily a bad thing but it's a movie that you don't really enjoy, its purpose is for you to think.

Given the lengths they had to go to in order to film this (look up behind the scenes pictures), quite impressive cinematography. Type of movie that has sort of "play" qualities, almost the whole movie takes place in a single room.

It's been more than half a decade since I saw this movie. I remember seeing the trailer and being so excited to see this. As I've gotten older, I've only appreciated this movie more and more.

As someone who is not from the 70s/80s, I thought that this movie did a really amazing job of capturing the everyday aspects of the era without being too overbearing. Sometimes movies will really "milk" the era for everything it has and it just doesn't feel organic.

Most of all, it is a comedy movie that just works. Highly recommend.
