This movie is just awful. Adapted from the book so it has voice overs and long spoken expositions to explain people's behavior. And they go to a psychiatrists office so we can learn the inner thoughts of a character. All screenplay writing laziness.

Confusing at beginning because you don't know which lady and which house she is looking at from the train. And there is no plot reason to confuse the viewer. Second confusion is that there are flashbacks, fantasy sequences and you can't tell them apart. Lead character is a drunk, so that is a technique to make us feel confused?

The killer is revealed as having no plan and no experience and no idea how to kill multiple people and get away with it. Just utterly weak and not thought out. A mess of a film project which I assume the writer and the director and producer were incompetent and the editor and another producer tried to salvage it.

Last- the only reason I clicked on it was for Allison Janney and she is in 5 minutes and completely banal. That's why I think this movie was chopped up in editing. How can you hire AJ and not even use her???

Decent little premise for a movie. A virus that only kills women. It could have been an investigation of govt/political actions. Could have been a race against time thriller. Nope, it is just a romantic story about how much one dude loves one woman. Every other aspect of the story is just absurd and pointless.

Biggest complaint as many have noticed: Frida Pinto would be detected from outer space as a hot female. They go out in public without any preparation, when there are bounties paid for females, and the govt is rounding up and abducting females.

I could have enjoyed a little dystopian drama, but Frida Pinto ruined this movie. Poor girl needs help.

I agree. It is slow. Adult-oriented SW story.

Example of being slow: flashbacks to a young Cassian on a primitive planet that is being mined by The Empire (although it takes another 3 episodes to get the backstory through dialogue). His tribe/people see a mining space ship go down. They spend days finding it and creeping up on it (they have sticks for weapons). They cut to this, and cut away for 3 solid episodes! 3 episodes of people creeping through the jungle to find a ship?! It could have been done in 20 minutes. AND the results of that exploration are not clear for another 3 episodes. So, ok. For adults?

Otherwise, main actors are fantastic. Set design/effects are fantastic. Heist and Prison Break are very cool stories! The rest is just boring.

Blend of good and bad. 5 for talky-talky dialogue and boring Senator (when will SW learn that nobody cares about politics and Senators?) and 8 for action sequences/stories. 7.5?
