I never cared for "Q" stories, or any plot where characters bodies are "taken over".
I prefer the exploration or battles - Especially of wits.
BUT, this became a traditional plotline for many episodes. If you let it go, its fine. Funny how so many memorable scenes came from such episodes (Kirk being 'forced to kiss Uhura' etc).
So, go ahead ang spin one eventually.

I never consider myself a "Musical fan", but I always seem to enjoy them, they tell a story while setting an atmosphere we seldom experience any more.
This was clever, and actually courageous.
To me it worked.
