Sheridan Smith delivers the performance of a lifetime. Her portrayal of a distraught, angry and grieving mother, makes you believe her pain is real. Incredible. It's a travesty if she doesn't win an award after this. It's horrendous that this is a true story and the attitudes of the time make you glad we've moved on!!
I don't normally bothering writing stuff and usually just rate from 1-10. However, this needs as many reviews as possible. Stephen Graham is incredible, but we all know that already. However, young Owen Cooper needs every award going. He's mesmerising as Jamie.
All 4 episodes are just brilliant, but episode 3 is some of the best acting I have ever seen. I have heard it was nearly all improvised, which makes it even better!
In a world of social media and Andrew Tate, everyone should watch this!
What makes it even better, is none of the characters are clichés. Jamie's family are just normal, which makes you realise it could happen to any one of us!
Just incredible!
