Are those heartstrings on Gigi? Gentry travels back in time to write a song with her Daddy who passed away before she could in her timeline. Does that pic those heartstrings? It does for me.
Add to that her longtime friend, Mac, going with her. He's been crushing her for a long time.
The Grand Old Opry is a special place and country musicians are special too. I think it is well known that they treat their fans special. They understand Respect. The movie includes several short cuts of country singing and a full song to close the show. I'm not a knowledgeable fan, but I assume many of them are real stars. Also I never knew before about The Circle.
The story progresses in a way that kept me bound to the screen. Great story.
Kris Polaha and Nikki Deloach have great chemistry although their story splits screen time with Jett and Gentry's story.
I'm sure others have noted that Polaha did another similar time travel movie 2 years earlier. And a few years before that there was a movie about Nashville music with a Christmas Carol flavor. All on Hallmark.
For me this is unquestionably the best Hallmark Christmas movie of 2025, so far. Best of any new one on any network, so far. I will definitely watch this again.

Almost from the first scene I could tell that there was something smooth about this movie. (Yesterday I said the exact opposite about another new Hallmark movie for this year.)
Autumn Reeser and Nial Matter are Hallmark veterans and certainly contributed to that feeling. There was a quiet chemistry between them.
The plot was fairly simply although there were two interwoven plot threads. The obvious one is Dave and Annie trying to find each other after Dave missed the flight he was supposed to be on with Annie. The second is Annie gaining confidence to follow her dream.
You know the two characters are going to just miss each other several times. That type of plot usually frustrates me, but there are several flashbacks to the night they were together.

For starters the soundtrack is overpowering at times.
The flow seems uneven. The humor is based on missteps and misunderstandings.
Stephen Huszar's Jack is unnaturally awkward. The relationship with Laura Vandervort's Holly is stiff. Any romance between them is barely justified by the story.
I thought Vandervoort does a nice job of the timid assistant in a confusing situation.
Much of the movie is about Holly and Bianca. Holly is supposed to be the student, but she is trying to build up Bianca.
Like so many movies of this type, there is a secret held by one of the leads. The secret has the potential to create big problems for Holly.
I liked the way the writers turned things around for all involved. I didn't see it coming.
