When the story begins a team of bounty hunters come to an house looking for a bail jumper and end up shooting a man. Falsone and Stivers are called and arrest team member P J Johnson tho he escapes his own ball for continuing the pursuit of the fugitive. The detectives team up with the group leader Dennis Knoll (Christopher Meloni) for finding Johnson but the chase results in a disaster thanks to a car wreck that leaves Lewis and a woman injured.
As I said in the summary the previous two episodes weren't that excellent as I expected. Not that they were bad but they certainly could have been better. But this is a return to near greatness.
When the story begins there is a rampage of deaths caused by flu throughout Baltimore and soon after Bayliss and Shepard learned that they all died after drinking poisoned wine. As the FBI ends involved Mike Giardello is put in charge but his decisions on strategy and public relations put him at odds with his dad especially after Gee is forced to expose some news for avoiding more deaths. Some time before the end Munch reveals to Lewis about a secret trip he did to his doctor that now Munch regrets it.
What I liked about this episode is that it might seem possible a mass flu caused by poisoned wine tho in real life it never happened so far, and also Giardello's issues with his dad were too much similar to real life. The writers always knew how to make the show return on track, and kudos to them really.

When the story begins the wife of a writer that has gone missing for days goes to the Homicide unit because she's suspecting he's murdered but since there are no dead body nor evidence of the crime the detectives scramble to delve among the usual suspects and Danvers has the hands too full for taking the case on trial. And just as Munch was planning for an holiday weekend with Billie Lou his plans are twarted when he and Bayliss are called for investigating on the case of a old woman killed during a burglary attempt at her home, and Munch and Bayliss can't decide if they have a murder on their hands. Before the episode ends Falsone asks Ballard out on a date.
As I said in the summary the cases (especially the second) were confusing since they both required scrambling among the suspects and no evidence for help. But thankfully the good acting and the funny situations that happened in between save the episode and earns a 7 from me.
