TV Shows I Own at Least One Complete Season of On DVD

One of my complete series. But I do not own Archie Bunkers Place.

I own four seasons of this show. This was actually a good series until Kirk Cameron made the producers clean up his character. That was the beginning of the end. I don't even want to get into Kirk Cameron's current homophobic lunacy. I'll probably add one more season, maybe two as I'd like to have the Leo Dicaprio Season.

Derived from the theatrical film Clarence, The Cross-eyed Lion. I only own one season although two have been released. Any series released through Warner Archives is at a premium price and seldom on sale. I hope to be able to eventually acquire Season Two.

I own eight seasons of this series. Would have bought the rest but when Netflix added it to streaming, decided to wait until I could catch a good sale. Will complete the set eventually.

This 1962 series only ran One Season and stars Gene Kelley in the role of Father O'Malley and Leo G. Carroll as Father Fitzgibbon and Dick York before he married Samantha. A true rarity and one of those you never would have suspected as ever being given a DVD release. 30 Episodes released by Timeless Media (Now owned by Shout Factory.) Get it while you can.

Another one season show recently released by Shout/Timeless. Starring Jack Lord as a rodeo star before he turned in his saddle for a badge on Hawaii Five-O. This is one of those series that was critically acclaimed, yet was only given a one season run.

I own the first two seasons but hope to add a couple of more. After about four seasons though, I found the plots became rather repetitious and unimaginative. Mostly dealing with Darrin's client of the week that he almost gets fired by Larry Tate over. No offense to Dick Sergeant but he was never able to capture the goofiness that Dick York brought to the role of Darrin. He always seemed way too uptight.

Four of the Five Seasons have been released. I own all Four and am hoping to complete this set.

No word on if Season Five will be released. It may not be because of the drastic casting change. Whitney Blake (Dorothy Baxter) and Don DeFore (George Baxter) were given the ax by way of having their characters shipped off to Baghdad. Yeah, you read that right. Hazel (Shirley Booth) and Harold (Bobby Buntrock) moved in with George's Brother Steve (Ray Fulmer), Barbara (Lynn Borden) and their daughter Susie (Julia Benjamin). I don't remember the final season, so I'm very curious about it. Here's hoping.

Only the first season is available so far and I bought it as soon as I could. I've watched the first eight episodes but I'd forgotten how good some of these stories were, and despite the medical advances we've had, the drama never loses it's impact. Hoping to get the complete set as they become available. Lots and lots of great guest stars here as well. Now, where is Ben Casey?

Only two seasons were released by Shout Factory. I was hoping for more but alas it doesn't look like it's happening. I'd forgotten how slowly paced this show was, but it's still decent. Robert Young as Welby, James Brolin (Mr. Barbara Streisand) as his associate Stephen Kiley.

When the first four seasons of this show were release for general retail sales, the prices on each season were very reasonable. Then Shout decided to make it an On Demand series only available from their web site. I just have a problem paying $40 for a season of shows that used to cost at the most $30. So I have yet to acquire the final two seasons but still might. This is one of those 50's series that I believe everybody should have at least one season of in their library.

Only two season have been released of this series as of yet and I purchased both of them. I have yet to find time to actually watch them as of yet but I do know the guest star in the first episode is O.J. Simpson. The first episode is not the pilot episode that had a different cast.

When Time/Life released this I really wanted it but it was prohibitively expensive. Eventually I acquired the complete series through an Amazon sale. For NCIS fans, here's your chance to see a much younger David McCallum play spy. Really great sixties stuff.

Another jewel from Timeless who miraculously was able to piece together the entire series, some episodes from collectors who still had much of the series on 16 Millimeter. Lee Marvin who would later go on to win an Academy Award for Cat Ballou, is what makes this show tick. I was really glad to get this.

So about halfway through the first season, Jonathan Harris begins to steal the show as Dr. Smith. There are those who thought this was a good thing. Not me. I saw a lot of great potential shown in the first few episodes that was never fulfilled. It didn't help that during the first two seasons, they were so land bound on single planets they just as well have never left earth. Still, it's a series from my childhood that I felt I must have and I own the complete set.

For whatever reason, only one season of Maude has been released on DVD and I bought it. I would like to own more but it's been so long since this was released I'm not counting on it.

Nothing symbolized the late sixties and early seventies any better than The Mod Squad. If you've seen the feature film, forget that and try to catch a few seasons of the original. Unfortunately, only two seasons have been released and I own them both. Will we see more? Hope so.

What happened with the DVD release of this series really irritates me. Fox owns the rights and released Season One complete for about thirty bucks (much cheaper now). I think it sold well enough, but for some reason only greedy executives can understand they decided to release Season Two in Volumes and jacked up the price to $40 for half a season. Certainly people were hesitant to buy part of Season Two seeing as how they could not fathom why one whole season could be released a lot cheaper than a half season. Studio Executives who failed to see their own complicity in this, took the fact that people saw through their shenanigans as a sign that nobody wanted to buy it and have not released and further episodes. I do own the Season and a half but i did not buy the half season until it was finally marked way down.

I'm glad to have this complete series in my library. Especially since it looked for a long long time like it was going to remain unfinished. But this was another series owned by Fox, and they made a mess of things again. However, the seasons were finally released and I suggest you pick this series up while you can.

Probably one of the most popular series in pay cable History. Of course, I own the complete series because with this show, it's almost a necessity to own all of them or none at all. But it wasn't cheap to acquire and still isn't.

The great Donna Reed stars in one of the best family oriented sit-coms from the 50's and 60's. It ran for 8 seasons, and five seasons have been released. I own all five. The bad news is we may never see the final three seasons. The worst news is that Seasons one and two now appear to be out of print so if you don't have them and now want them, you'll have to pay the piper. My suggestion: Buy what you can afford of Seasons 3 to 5 and hope one and two are re-released. Just don't count on it.

Another HBO series. I actually bought this for my girlfriend because she loved the show. But she's never watched the DVD's so maybe I will since I didn't watch the series. Yeah, I know it's not meant for me.

My girlfriend was also a big fan of this series so I purchased it. But she hasn't watched the DVD's either. What I'm finding out about my girlfriend is that she seldom likes to revisit a TV series. Or maybe she just doesn't know how to operate the DVD player.

The Girlfriend again. This time I had bought all but the last two seasons and probably will buy those when I can and watch the series myself. This was another one originally purchased for my girlfriend that I'll watch before she will. She refuses to watch the last season I guess because she thinks she won't like the ending. The same reason she wouldn't watch the last few episodes of Saving Grace.

We bought the first four seasons of House in a big Black Friday sale. From then on we ended up purchasing each season as they were released. I was just a casual fan of the show so I've gone back and watched some of the episodes I've missed. So yeah, we own the whole series.
