He was featured, along with Kitty Carlisle and Wilbur Evans, on Decca Records' 78 RPM record albums of "The Merry Widow" and "The Desert Song", recorded in the 1940's.
Although his primary successes were in operetta and musical comedy on
stage, he spent four seasons with the Metropolitan Opera Company
(1946-1947 - 1949-1950), where his most frequent roles were Count Almaviva
in Rossini's "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" and Arturo Bucklaw in
Donizetti's "Lucia di Lammermoor." He spent his last years as a voice
teacher and coach.
