German-Jewish actress, on stage from 1925. A committed communist, she left Germany during the Nazi era. She later made wartime propaganda broadcasts for Radio Moscow. After 1945, Loebinger settled in East Berlin, appearing in proletarian roles in films for Defa and on stage at the Deutschen Theater, the Maxim-Gorki-Theater and the Kleine Theater unter den Linden.
