His first child, daughter Ariel Glaser, died from complications from AIDS in August of 1988. She contracted HIV via breast milk when her mother, Elizabeth Glaser, was not aware that she had contracted HIV via an emergency blood transfusion. His second child, son Jake Glaser, contracted HIV in Elizabeth's womb. He is still alive and in reasonably good health as of December of 2010.
