First Shoot the Lawyers

First Shoot the Lawyers was one of the best movies I have seen in years. It was dramatic, funny, and suspenseful. I thought the characters were well-developed and the story was gripping. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who really loves the cinema.

First Shoot the Lawyers endearingly memorable characters show the anguish from abusive childhood homes, as they create relationship, and not-so-skillfully mastermind a beautiful, unlawful but just, adventurous future. Opening night in Tucson astonished audience members, as scenes from familiar places gave the drama a close up feel. We rode along on the character's journey, sometimes through a fish eye lens that enhanced the excellent actors' expressions. This is a film that stays, as the messages and delights it holds bubble up long after watching it.

"First Shoot The Lawyers" is an entertaining and heartfelt drama with some comedy about two peoples' journey through life's trials and tribulations. While the characters are quirky, the chemistry that develops between them is engaging and believable. The story is never dull and commands the viewer's rapt attention with its alternation of suspense and comic relief.

The photography captures the beauty of the location--Tucson.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film with it's twists and turns, high drama and characters that elicited warmth and compassion in their journey.

'First Shoot the Lawyers' is the brain-child of a psychologist and his wife. It's an independent film that moves quickly through intense scenes--- stirring up sadness and elation, almost simultaneously.

The director magically does this with expression; mostly embodied in the countenances of two human beings brought together by their comparable, deep (lizard brain) and violent pain bodies.

The couple meet in peculiar circumstances and soon become aware that they share similar hurts, rejection, shame, abuse and rage. Of course, they begin to rage at each other. The instructive quality of the film unfolds as the couple processes the disabling pain through nature, and what some may call--- revenge.

What a sweet ending! They do not incur more guilt, but satisfaction.

These scenes are certain to lure you into the moment and follow you into the future.
