Some themes explored in this movie include finding meaning in life, valuing education, caring for the environment and animals therein, rejection vs being a kind person, as well as a nod regarding homosexuality.
Nadide was a very strong character who was navigating her feelings after losing her life partner, as well as trying to find meaning and direction for the rest of her days. She was able to express her sorrow, frustrations, anxieties, and her feminine, fun nature too.
Demet Akbag is to be commended for her strong performance in the lead role. She carried the bulk of the show with her portrayal of Nadide.
The use of animation may seem out of place, but it did add a bit of humor and levity to the project.
Overall, a very nice movie.
