Bring It On: Worldwide #Cheersmack

Has a very definite bullied-by-A from PRETTY LITTLE LIARS flavor, but the term that kept flashing through my mind while watching The Truth was "Rebels without a cause"... a lot of posturing clearly for very little reason. And a considerable effort to pull off a ruse like that.

Saying that the characters lack depth pretty much sums it up. I do however rewatch and rewatch and analyze this and analyze that and Cristine Prosperi is a total jewel in here rising far far far above the rest. Unfortunately that doesn't say much. The girl who plays Hannah in here was clearly inspired by Hanna of PRETTY LITTLE LIARS but unfortunately, Ashley Benson she is NOT. She gives her lines as if reading them off. Later developments in the script depend very heavily on this very weak link to carry the story, and predictably, she fails spectacularly, and the movie slides out in a whimper. The Rebels do their performance wearing long pants? The lead girl sort of fades out towards the end. She is still there, but dimmed out. Vivica A. Fox (what a name!)'s Cheer Goddess comes across as kinda more than a little bit weird, even slurring words.

As for the very heart of it all, some pretty vivid foxes, yeah. Worth watching, yeah. Not really a good movie, no. But Cristina is worth the price of entry alone. The rest of the cast is a cheer-tastrophy, though.

Certainly kills off the franchise, no doubt nobody's gonna touch this for LONG TIME.

But I've neglected to say a truly heartfelt thing. Cheerleaders get bad treatment in many stories, but they deserve to be an Olympic event. Only they shouldn't be called cheerleaders. This ranks them second to male-dominated sports. To me the highest form of excellence is this "flying bird" with the colorful plumage (fortunately with better legs). Unfortunately the risks are SEVERE when it comes to being tossed up in the air and having to come down... ballerinas are wonderful till you find out their reality... Cheerleaders are much the same. But they are all to be revered.

You seriously don't want to waste your time. The "protagonist" is deplorable...makes a great villain though? Which means, this is terrible writing. She's nasty to everyone, materialistic, and so self important. I get integrating technology to make this bring it on more "now"... but it failed miserably and made all the characters seem superficial and one dimensional with no development. This movie was ugly and no one who worked on it should be proud of the result.

I watched about 10 minutes of this film and had to turn it off. It would be great for little children who have never seen any of the Bring It On movies but for anyone that has DO NOT WATCH. It is very sad that they took the same title to this film. It makes bad jokes about some of todays issues with social media and carbs. In my opinion some people would like this movie. However, if you love the old Bring It On movies and think this one would be great just like those. Think again.

I don't get the hate for this movie. Sure it is not like the others but still a fun watch. The other movies had a little more depth to them and the character a tad flushed out but this movie does not deserve all the one star ratings. It's not horrible and it's not great just a fun light hearted watch and I would watch it again like I did the others. Unlike the horror remake that they made which I did not bother to watch because that was ridiculous make compared to the rest of the franchise they should have kept with make elements of the series like this did. Overall I'd say ignore the negative reviews and give this a solid chance and don't take this film too seriously.

THIS MOVIE IS TERRIBLE!!!!!! do not waste your money to watch this terrible acting and horrible understanding of cheer leading. I was disappointed because of how good the other bring it ones were and watching how bad this one is I expected so much more but was not satisfied. Cheerleading is so much more than they lead it on to be not to mention their horrific grammar. Not one person I know says cheer-militated or cheer smack. That's just an insult to cheerleaders. The sport is not all about social media and "cheer smack downs". People in the cheer community are supportive and have great sportsmanship. This movie made me cringe. Also it's unrealistic and stereotypical. Do you research before you make another movie and try to make it believable these are cheerleaders... or even actors.
