The BBC 'progressive' non-principle might have ruined the career of the play writer of this show.
By giving a racist 'non-comedy' air time, BBC encourages more racial tension, which is not what the TV license fee for.
BBC shall start an investigation on the programme selection process and publish the findings. The license fee contributors (especially the East Asians) deserve the whole truth.

It astounds me how shows like this can see daylight in this day and age.
It's 2017, people.
Having stereotypical depictions of Asians is something that we should have grown past.
Here's what you're in for if you actually watch this hot garbage: Asian. female prostitutes. Asian male premature ejaculation jabs. Overly done fake Asian accents. Asian females vehemently refusing to date Asian men. Stereotypical submissive Asian females.
To the actors and actresses who starred in this: You should be ashamed.

Garbage like this promotes several repulsive "values": 1) Racism is OK if you target your own people.
2) Sexism is OK if it is targeted towards men.
3) Embrace your own objectification to elevate your own social worth.
If anyone thinks that any of these are acceptable "values" to live by, I pity the fool.

The writers, who are Chinese themselves, had an opportunity to educate, but instead chose to resort to using dated and offensive stereotypes and act like clowns.
They made this sort of TV in the UK back in the 1970s with programmes like Love Thy Neighbour and Mind Your Language.
Yeah sure, they were *supposed* to be poking fun at the racists, but in reality, they just legitimised racist behaviour and language.
Deeply unfunny, and on the two occasions in this pilot episode, the addressing of a racial stereotype was swiftly followed by a *joke* containing another.
The writers have done Chinese people in the UK absolutely no favours at all with this awful programme. Personally, I'm looking forward to renewed amounts of racial abuse from complete strangers in the street just like I experienced growing up in London in the eighties.
Part of me wonders if this is just a big elaborate hoax by Chris Morris.
But then again, if it was, it would've been funny.

This is an exceedingly racist comedy. I have no idea what went through their minds when they made this show. The creators claim to be challenging stereotypes but proceed to make an entire comedy full of racist jokes for cheap laughs. No, making racist jokes for the audience and then having a comment that that's racist is not challenging stereotypes. Its perpetuating them and teaching society that racism against Asians is okay.
