Bob Odenkirk is absolutely outstanding here.

Director Ilya Naishuller and writer by Derek Kolstad offer a sharp film, with great action set ups, that's wonderfully filmed with credible looking locations. Connie Nielsen is slightly wasted that said there's a fantastic extended cameo from Christopher Lloyd. The supporting cast and solid including Michael Ironside and Colin Salmon. Aleksei Serebryakov as Yulian Kuznetsov is memorable.

With a great soundtrack it works perfectly until it goes into John Wick, Equalizer territory, that aside there's enough story tweaks to keep it fresh, in addition to echoing a modern Death Wish with a touch of A-Team and Macgyver to name a few it's a great ride.

Overall, a hard hitting fun must see action. Worth watching for Odenkirk alone.

"Nobody" is an incredibly unusual film for Bob Odenkirk. I assumed at first it was a comedy. After all, that's his background as he began as a writer for "Conan O'Brien" and "Saturday Night Live". However, the film is incredibly violent and makes "Rambo: First Blood II" look like a Disney flick!! So, if you hate violent and bloody films, try something else as it is NOT a comedy.

When the story begins, a couple crooks break into Hutch's house and rob them. At one point, Hutch's teenage son subdues one of the robbers but Hutch seems to freeze and tells the son to let them go. Now at this point, you assume the film will be about Hutch regaining his sense of manhood by deliberately putting himself into dangerous situations in order to prove he's not a coward. This is NOT what happens. Yes, he soon is involved in a dangerous situation on a bus...but where it goes next and what Hutch does is difficult to believe....as what Hutch's father (Christopher Lloyd) does. You just have to see it to believe it. I could say more but don't want to spoil the surprises...and there are quite a few.

I am not a violent film fan but really felt myself being pulled into this movie. It's pretty amazing...as is the fact (at least according to IMDB) that Odenkirk did most of his own stunts!!! You just have to see it to believe it.

I was intrigued by this movie as Bob Odenkirk was in the lead role in the movie. Since the scriptwriter and producers of this movie are also in the team of the John Wick series, I was expecting this kind of movie. First of all, the movie is great. The acting is great, the action is very good, the director did a great job too. This is one of the surprise movies of the year. It was fun movie.

There's a lot of gunshots, fights and blood. There so much violence that it becomes over the top funny. The last scene literally becomes Home Alone, watch it and you'll know what I mean.

Why have this movie eluded me until now late in 2021? Sure, I had stumbled upon the movie earlier this year, but the movie's cover/poster was one that made me believe that this was just another Bob Odenkirk comedy, so I put off sitting down to watch it.

And now that I finally took the time to watch it, I must admit that I had certainly been missing out on a great movie. Wow. Are you kidding me, this movie was just spectacular and entertaining from start to end.

The storyline in "Nobody", as written by Derek Kolstad, was really something else. With the movie starting out tediously set with repetitive routines, the storyline slowly starts to unfold and director Ilya Naishuller slowly piles on more and more of storytelling and action scenes. Boy there was an abundance of good action to be seen in "Nobody".

I have to admit that I am now looking at Bob Odenkirk in a whole new light here, after having seen his performance in "Nobody". This was an amazing change of pace for this guy, and he really managed to carry the movie well with his performance, showing that he can do action movies as good as he can do comedy.

This movie had a great cast ensemble, with the likes of Bob Odenkirk putting on a rather surprising performance. But also have the likes of Michael Ironside, Connie Nielsen and Christopher Lloyd on the cast list.

"Nobody" was a movie that just sidewinded me, and this is without a doubt a movie that you must sit down and watch, should you get the chance. Especially if you enjoy a good old fashioned action movie with a good story, great pacing and an abundance of action.

My rating of "Nobody" lands on a well-deserved seven out of ten stars.
