The story of a man that is arrested, goes to jail and reinvents himself as a gangster. What follows is action, shooting and dramatic sequences with an acceptable ending.
The film features Hedy Krilla (Mädchen in Uniform), who plays the old lady towards the end of the film.
She steals the show in just those two brief scenes she's in. She commanded with her presence and oozed warmth, kindness and determination to this minor role of hers.
The film is okay but a tad outdated for today's film aesthetics. The more it ages and as the older generations do as well, it will surely be enjoyed in due time.
