It is a sex comedy in Mariano Ozores style and in which stands out Alfredo Landa as a leader of the workers at a company . Ridiculous and embarrassing plot from Hipólito (Alfredo Landa) who is appointed spokesperson to present the complaints of his colleagues to the director (Antonio Ozores) of the factory . But the director who drives a Rolls Royce devises a scheme to put Hipólito on his side and appoints him his personal secretary so that the strikes to be failed ; as Hipolito finds particular reasons to progress in the company and eventually he marries his daughter (Maite Sancho , Fernando Sancho's daughter) .
A bemusing, crazy and absurd Spanish comedy from the ¨Destape¨ period with usual ingredients. The flick packs silly incidents , funny comical sketches , tongue-in-cheek , grotesque situations with plenty of naked girls and above all , it especially contains catching touches of humor and irony . Sitting in a strange middle ground between the completely absurd and the stylishly amusing . Here there's entertainment and amusement enough ; however, Mariano Ozores films with Pajares and Esteso are much better . There are some nice jokes in the film and the cast , playing eccentric characters , make a cosy fit . Being well set by that time , during early Eighties , adding ordinary nudism with regular ¨Destape¨ actresses : Pilar Alcón, Jenny Llada , Eva León . This hilarious film is full of craziness , humor , fun messes and narrating the conflict among labourers represented by Alfredo Landa and the egoistic entrepreneur : Antonio Ozores giving his usual interpretative touches . It is a simple , and humorous portrait at a time when factories hold ordinary strikes with habitual protesters . Alfredo Landa provides a sympathetic and agreeable performance as the hard-working Ambrosio who finds new motives to promote himself at the company . Landa was one of the most prolific Spanish actors with more than 100 fims generally playing sexually repressed roles and usually directed by Ramon Fernandez, Fernando Merino, Pedro Lazaga, Luis Maria Delgado, and Mariano Ozores . Being most of them time-passer comedies, and as Landa even created a subgenre : Landismo, dealing regularly with an a repressed man obsessed with sex. These Landa comedies include Manolo La Nuit, Vente a Alemania Pepe, Un Rolls para Hipolito, Profesor Eroticus, Polvos magicos, Paco el seguro, Celedonio y yo somos asi, El apolitico, Los que tocan el piano, Solo ante el Streaking, among others. In the 80s he started playing dramatic and serious roles as Los Santos Inocentes, prize in Cannes for Francisco Rabal and Alfredo Landa. He won two Goya Awards playing El Bosque animado y La Marrana. And other important films as Bandera negra, Marcelino Pan y Vino, Sinatra and Don Quijote TV series . And especially movies directed by Jose Luis Garci, his fetish actor, such as Crack I, II , Las verdes praderas, Tiovivo 1950, and Story of a kiss . In Un rolls para Hipólito (1982) Landa being well accompanied by several familiar faces , such as : Rafaela Aparicio , Carmen Martínez Sierra , presenter Joaquín Prat , Luis Lorenzo , Quique Camoiras ,Antonio Durán ,Charly Bravo, Emilio Fornet, Ángel Álvarez , among others.
