Another cartoon to sell toys.
Let me get this out of the way, I have no issue with a cartoon that is a glorified commercial for a toy line. This is no exception. The cartoon was made to sell; the toys and that's perfectly fine. The problem is, it's not a very good cartoon.
MASK, or Mobile Armored Strike Command... .or Kommand because marketing, is a group of people with special helmets or "MASKs" that have special abilities. Like creating illusions or have an anti-gravity type beam built in. They fight against the evil VENOM or "Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem" gotta love that marketing, who are obviously the bad guys. VENOM wants something, MASK is sent to stop them.
They all have vehicles that transform which is part of the gimmick. So the leader of MASK has a racecar that can transform into a flying car. Or a motorcycle can transform into a helicopter of sorts. The vehicles are the stars of the show. The rest? It's pretty bad.
The biggest problem is they tried to make this a "global" organization with members from all over. So you've got Americans. You've got a Japanese guy. You have a French Canadian and so on. The American voices are fine. The rest of them? Some of the worst examples of voice acting ever. They don't even sound like they're supposed to be from where they're from. The French Canadian guy sounds... honestly I have no idea what accent they were going for but it's definitely not Quebecois.
Beyond that it's your standard 80's cartoon fare. Bad guys have a plan, the good guys find out and take them down, the baddies get away to fight another day and they end with a joke where everybody laughs.
This is beyond formulaic. It's downright lazy.
