Les trois frères

This is an excellent comedy by "Les Inconnus", it was very successful in France and I recommend it to everyone that knows a bit about the french culture.

But when you are not French you cannot review or rate this movie well. French comedy you need to understand French thats it.

You just Never stop laughing in this movie, not even for a second ! Les Inconnus are the Greatest comedy genius in history. If you rate this one less than 9/10 then you re a Stranger or a crazy dude. This is gold 10/10.

Possibly the funniest french movie I have seen in my life. Of course, one has to be found of « les inconnu »'s sense of humor. I believe this movie is a perfect introduction to their madness. Here, their story starts with the revelation of an inheritance and the chain reaction that succeeds. The "three brothers" was an instant success in France. It's no Hollywood style and the logic of it may not reach everybody's mind, except if you have been trained to laugh out loud at french humor (not as famous as french kiss, french windows, french slides and french fries (oups, liberty fries, sorry), but one of the best in the world, indeed. Enjoy.

Just plain hilarious... Even though the last 15 minutes are a bit less comical (you have to find an ending to these comedies... it's very often the less fun part), you need to see this movie... The actors are good and a lot of jokes made me go wild... even though I am unsure of their worth if they are to be translated... For all who speak French it's a must!! 9/10

These three brothers contains some good elements, but runs out of steam in its last third. The best character sketched is Pascal Legitimus and his company with Bernard Farcy as Steven. Each of the three characters played by our Inconnus embodies in an exaggerated way key characters of their time, well sketched in the first half of the film.

The film starts well with the three brothers who meet each other, who have to cohabit even though they are socially and societally in different worlds. Some of the gags work, but the film runs out of steam over the course of the film and the three writers struggle to finish and close their story: the ending has no hysteria. The half of the film is severely lacking in pace. A third party's point of view is missing to complete the scenario and bring it out of its embryonic state.
